Course Outcomes

LO 1. Beams

  • Be able to design masonry beams subjected to transverse loading

LO 2. Columns, Piers, and Walls

  • Be able to design masonry columns, piers, and walls for axial and flexural loading

LO 3. Connections

  • Be able to specify anchorage requirements and design bolt connections

LO 4. TMS 402 & TMS 602

  • Have a working familiarity with the building code requirements (TMS 402) and specifications (TMS 602) for masonry structures
