Students will demonstrate a grasp of the fundamental properties of clay, explore glazing options, and encounter the challenges of the medium.

Students will find and explore visual imagery and gain a sense of historical and contemporary ceramics.

Students will read and discuss a variety of related issues, including writings on contemporary arts and crafts and personal creative sources.
