Program Requirements

Proficiency audition is required for placement and registration in technique courses and for mandatory advisement. Students will be assigned a faculty advisor after the technique proficiency and placement audition.
Dance technique courses (including Dance 243R and 244R) require a grade of at least B- for advancement to next level.
The Dance Department requires a minimum of 30 hours of dance credit to be taken in residency at BYU's Provo campus for this degree program. BYU Independent Study courses do not count toward residency. These hours may also go toward BYU's 30-hour residency requirement for graduation.
Students must complete annual mandatory advisement.
