Course Outcomes


1. Students will study the history of oratorio repertoire and its styles of performance from the baroque era through to the present day.

2. Students will focus on specific recitative and arias from the oratorio repertoire, and perform extracts in class.

3. Students will complete assignments and give presentations in class that will pertain to their research on oratorio repertoire.
