Apply theoretical approaches

Apply a variety of analytical and theoretical approaches to the study of early Spanish American writings as literature and as a reflection of the early cultures of the Spanish-speaking countries of the Americas.

Demonstrate textual knowledge

Demonstrate a strong knowledge of a broad range of the important literary and historical texts of the early Spanish American period and of the historical and cultural contexts in which they were produced.
