Course Outcomes
Sociological Inquiry
Students will deepen understanding of the basic ideas and arguments that inform contemporary sociological inquiry, especially the philosophical foundations, some basic features of philosophy of social science, and the development of classical theory.
Sociological Theory
Students will become conversant with the conceptual and philosophical foundations of the major theoretical perspetives of sociology.
Critical Assessment
Students will be able to critically assess the strengths and weaknesses of each theoretical perspective.
