Course Outcomes

Context

Students will develop an understanding of conceptual and formal trends in contemporary sculpture through lectures, images and other means.

Skill Development

Students will learn the sculptural basics of carving, casting and fabrication in relation to original art work.

Evaluate

Students will learn to evaluate their own sculptural works and that of others through regularly scheduled critiques. Work will be compared to contemporary and traditional standards of thought and practice applied to 3 dimensional art.
