Creative Dance for Children
Students will:
1. Gain an increased understanding of the importance of Creative Dance for children.
Developmentally Appropriate Dance Skills
2. Learn to teach developmentally appropriate technical dance skills to children.
Problem Solving and the Creative Process
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the methods of encouraging creative problem solving skills and the creative process.
Teaching Children Dance Elements
4. Demonstrate knowledge, mastery and application of the elements of dance (time, space, and force) in relation to the teaching of children.
Teaching Experience
5. Gain practical experience through teaching children.
