Course Outcomes

Scansion and Folio Text Analysis

Students will show proficiency with scansion and folio text analysis for Shakespearean text.

Skill Integration in Performance

Students will apply fundamental acting principles and vocal techniques to the performance of assigned scenes and monologues from classical texts.

Play and Character Analysis

Students will demonstrate their ability to analyze a play from an actor's point of view and choose objectives, actions, and obstacles congruent with the historical text.

Positive Work Habits

Students will practice positive work habits of an actor, i.e. dependability, punctuality, cooperation, dedication, consideration of fellow actors, and ensemble work.
