Students will recognize important cultural, political, and religious figures, events, and movements in Italy from the Etruscan period to the Counter-Reformation by creating a timeline and taking two written exams.

Develop critical skills and informed aesthetic judgment by participating in class discussions as we analyze works of art, architecture, artifacts, literature, and music.
Research Skills
Conduct research on an Italian cultural phenomenon of significant impact by locating and evaluating peer-reviewed sources.
Effective communication in Italian
Communicate effectively in Italian both orally and in writing by creating and presenting an imaginary museum exhibit catalog which traces a cultural phenomenon across a span of Italian history.
