Course Outcomes

Identify and Evaluate Sources

Students will be able to identify and critically evaluate sources relevant to issues concerning discourse analysis.

Conversational and Written Academic Discourse

Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the ways that discourse is structured in a variety of genres and registers, including spoken conversational discourse and written academic discourse.

Analysis of Authentic English Discourse

Students will be able to evaluate and appropriately apply various methods and approaches to the analysis of authentic English discourse and effectively communicate their findings.
