Communicate at the Intermediate High to Advanced Low level

Demonstrate proficiency in Spanish at the Intermediate High to Advanced Low level, as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Guidelines for speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Analyze and interpret oral and written texts

Analyze and interpret a selection of oral and written texts from Spanish-speaking countries, including short stories and journalistic articles, within their historical and cultural context.

Write compositions to meet academic needs

Write short compositions with sufficient grammatical accuracy to meet academic needs in higher-level courses.
