An in-depth examination of some aspect of Spanish American culture and civilization. Subject matter will vary. This course is recommended for those individuals who may already have a broad exposure to the culture and civilization of the Spanish-speaking countries of the Americas and/or those who desire a more focused cultural experience.

Critically analyze cultural products and practices in their historical and social contexts from the perspectives of members of the culture.

Conduct research on a particular cultural topic and formally present the results in oral presentations or written papers.
