Admission to Degree Program

The Discipline
The Microbiology and Molecular Biology Department offers degrees in microbiology, molecular biology, and medical laboratory science. A wide range of courses may be incorporated into a program of study, including: ecology, genetics, immunology, microbial physiology, molecular biology, molecular evolution, parasitology, and pathogenesis.
Career Opportunities
Graduates are employed in a wide variety of positions in industry, hospitals, government agencies, and universities. Majors from this department are an excellent preprofessional course of study for those interested in medicine, dentistry, law, or business.
